Trailer for Danny Boyle's new movie

I might've been the one person who didn't like Slumdog Millionaire, but I still love 28 Days Later and the trailer here intrigues. Apparently James Franco's bringin' the A-game:

This is in poor taste

Behold, the ultimate ruin-your-life prank to play on a plane! It's simple...

Just direct your laptop to THIS site and crank up the volume.

I'm sorry but it's funny ;P

Wheelbarrow race? Yes, wheelbarrow race.

Speaking of hats, more hats off to awesome high school wheelbarrow race kids:

Vicious (Lunar) Cycle

This is a favorite story of my own from an online magazine called "Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens." They specialize in absurdist literature, and although it can be pretty hit-or-miss, there is some good stuff on there. It isn't exactly Halloween themed - but then again neither are photoshopped pictures of a pregnant David Martindale. I can't copy the text from the pdf, so follow the link and then scroll down to the story titled "Vicious (Lunar) Cycle."

The Last Guardian

Got the trailer for the new game from the creators of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Definitely set in the same beautiful but desolate world as those two, it looks like quite the stunner:

Here's the BIG AND AWESOME version of the trailer

I'd embed it, but the code is doing something screwy. If anyone can make it work, feel free to edit it in.

Here's the smaller, less awesome version:

G.I. Joe teaser trailer

Here's the teaser trailer slated to run during the Superbowl. You have two options to watch it:

Hi-Def Quicktime

Or good ol', grainy YouTube:

Geek Notes:

*Definitely a "set-up" movie, as Destro (played by Doctor Who's Christopher Eccleston) seems to be the main badguy. Saving Cobra Commander for the "to be continued" ending?

*Why the fuck ain't Destro in his pimp mask? This blog has a "smoove pimpin' Destro" tag and I refuse to use it for this!

*The action looks decent as it flies by impossibly fast, but I'm not wild about the acrobatics element. Apparently the Joes have some kind of next-gen armor that enhances their strength and agility. WTF, yo? Works for Snake-Eyes, not the others.

*As we all suspected...the Baroness and her breasteses look pretty cool.

Scam School

One of my good friends has a new show on www.revision3.net. It's a startup venture from the guys behind Digg and TechTV. His name is Brian Brushwood. You might recognize him from such short films as 'Lucidity' and 'The Right Hand of Kali'. (yeah, both short films of mine that I think only Randy has seen...)

Anyway, check it out:

Speed Racer Trailer

Remember this flick? Super-big-budget. Rated G. Directed by the Wachowski Brothers. Meant to look like a live-action cartoon.

Well, my "Tim Burton's Willy Wonka" alarm is going off a little bit, but it still looks like adrenaline-infused, stupid-fun to me:

Click here. Watch the Hi-Def version if your computer can handle it.

All-star cast reminder:

Speed Racer = some dude
Pops Racer = John Goodman
Mom Racer = Susan Sarandon
Racer X = Matthew Fox
Trixie = Christina Ricci

RIP Evel

As a kid, to me this guy was the embodiment of cool. To 1979 Murphy, he was right up there with Luke Skywalker and Gene Simmons.
