Nah, I love you guys too. Well, except for *you*. Don't look at me like that, you know why!

For no significant reason

Random LOLCat

Because really, I couldn't stand looking at Kriss Kross at the top of the blog anymore.

May Movie Night - X-Files!

Yep, we're cheating already, only five months in. It's not really a movie night, more of a "warm-up for the X-Files movie" night. We'll be showing off a few favorite episodes, including my pick for best episode of X-Files ever, "Jose Chung's From Outer Space." The episodes we're planning to show (unless we change our mind at the last minute) are:

Third Season
Jose Chung's From Outer Space

Fourth Season
Home

Sixth Season
Dreamland Parts I & II

As always, Rock Band will start around 5:30 or whenever folks want to show up, movies will start around 8:30 or whenever Nick arrives from closing the shop. And, as always, it's the last Sunday of the month (May 25th).

Blocking Dave's Hideous Dancing Bodybuilder

Seriously, I think that thing scarred my brain.

Halloween Epilogue - LolCats vs. Hodags

What is The Hodag? I'm glad you asked. The Hodag is an obscure creature of urban legend, like the Mothman or the Chupacabra, but lamer because it comes from Wisconsin and its name is Hodag. Full story here.

More to the point, the Hodag is touched on briefly in that epistolary horror story I linked to early on, Ted's Caving Page. The writer considers that the monster discovered in the cave might be the Hodag. And here's the thing: that story is awesome-scary, but nothing can possibly make the name "Hodag" anything but hilarious. Ho + Dag = funny as hell. So the name kind of became a running gag with my brother and I (he was the one who found the story), and, well, somehow or another it evolved into a series of LolCats images he sent me.

Which I will now share with you.

Note that there are also references to the epistolary horror story Dionaea House, about the haunted house that traps people...

And about half these pictures are of my brother's cats...

And, yes, this may be the most specific gag LolCats have ever been used for...

The last image in the series I have chosen to host elsewhere. It reveals the final confrontation between the Lolcats and the Hodag, but I think only the stoutest of hearts should have to face it. Behold...

The Dark Secret...REVEALED!

The Bible: Now Available in LOLcat

The best part? It's a Wiki! The worst part? It's all text, rather than people putting it together with actual pictures of cats.
For the Office Space peeps:

And you thought blowing up Alderaan was bad.
