According to L.A. Times:
"Feeling bullish on the eve of the release of its "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," Fox has already put a feature spinoff into development that will star the enigmatic Surfer,"
Based on the trailer and the look of the Surfer, to this I say "woohoo!" and then you read the rest of the sentence:
"...with J. Michael Straczynski currently crafting the screenplay."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Big screen space cancer, here we come!

In my humble opinion, this trailer kicks much ass. Makes me want to revisit the first movie, which I actually kinda liked.

Sweet ride.
Sure, the movie'll probably blow (though the first one is a guilty pleasure for me), but at least Fantastic Four 2 had the cojones to adapt the Fantasti-Car pretty nicely:
