X-Men: First Class trailer
The facts:
I like the trailer pretty well. I like that they're doing something different. Just not sure about the mutants they've chosen...
*from the director of KICK-ASS and STARDUST
*focus on Xavier and Magneto in their younger days
*60s period piece
*lots of weird choices for the mutants, none of them traditional (for instance, no Cyclops; I guess he's not a founding X-Man in the movieverse)

Got Pryde?
Fun little experiment, sort of in the same vein as the Batgirl and Supergirl and etc. image threads that have gone around on live journal and several other blogs. This time out...Kitty Pryde.

That Hugh Jackman's been workin' out
Trailer for the upcoming Wolverine movie.
Looks reasonably cool, even if they're going with the wussy "James Howlett" backstory.

More Rock Bands
So here are my X-Men and Star Wars bands.
The Uncanny 10-Men (X-Men was taken, it's a goof on Morrison's "Weapon 10" story)

The Mos Eisley Quartet (Let The Wookie Win, sadly, was already taken)

Wolverine Origins MIGHT not suck
... of course I'm not talking about the comic by the same title. The comic definitely sucks. I mean the movie, and the non-suckage is only according to online sources, and online sources are always right, aren't they?
Imdb's page for the movie has Michael C. Hall (Dexter) listed to play a young William Stryker.
Variety is reporting Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Deadpool and that Taylor Kitsch has been cast as Gambit. I'm not personally a big fan of Gambit, but I think that Kitsch showed a lot of talent on Friday Night Lights, and along with the other casting rumors, I'm unexpectedly excited about this project.
Things To Love (and Hate) About the Internet
Justice League New Frontier trailer looks pretty kickass.
Hellboy II trailer looks moderately acceptable.

Simpsons as X-Men picture making thread starts out fun, and ends in a flame war about Sideshow Bob's penis. The Internet at work.
Marko Djurdjevic Redesigns the X-Men

They're not really what I'd want to see in the X-Men proper, but they're kind of a cool alternate universe version of them, ala his Masters of the Universe redesigns.
