"Spider"
Got a short film to start your week off. Slightly quirky, but stick with it. It's a good time.
Retired Boxer vs. Young Punk
A story to restore your faith in humanity...

A burglar who broke into a house and threatened a pensioner with a knife got more than he bargained for when the victim turned out to be a retired boxer who left him bruised and bleeding.
Frank Corti, 72, who served with the Royal Engineers in North Africa from 1956-58, dodged the knife and punched Gregory McCalium, 23, twice in the face, giving him a black eye and a swollen lip. He then restrained the attacker until police arrived.
Speaking after the case, Mr Corti said: "I was scared when he first drew the knife, but my old training must have kicked in because I just punched him as hard as I could and he went down like a sack of spuds. If you can't defend what's yours, where are we at?"
McCalium had denied the charge and claimed he could not remember what happened.

Arkham Asylum gameplay vid
I posted the trailer for this a few weeks back, but they just released a vid of in-game stealth action and it looks pretty great to me (in spite of the Brit narrator who sounds like a nineteen-year-old soccer hooligan).
I had trouble embedding it, but the link is HERE, and if anyone can make it embed, please just edit it in.

Arkham Asylum
Got another trailer for a DC-themed video game here, and this one - Arkham Asylum - looks much better than the MMO! Seems to be 3rd-person with equal parts action and stealth, and being set in Arkham, I suspect it'll play a little like a horror game to boot.
(also: notice that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill from Batman: The Animated Series reprise their voices)

Cartoons!!
Here are a couple clips of the latest superhero cartoons, Brave and the Bold and Spectacular Spider-Man. Turns out there is life after Batman: The Animated Series after all.
"He carries two guns."
"One to stop trouble...and one to MAKE trouble."

The Jewish Mob - Super Style
The Evil League of Evil (from Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog) is taking applications. There are hundreds of these things on Youtube, but this one was pointed out by a blog I read, and it's pretty funny. If nothing else, jump to about 2:40 and watch his theme song.
I just got wood
Dexter Season 3 Trailer.
I didn't watch all 2 mins and 45 seconds becasue it gets a little spoilery 45 seconds into the trailer, but you can pretty much safely watch that 45 seconds without getting spoiled.

"I don't think that many people were killed in World War 1 & 2 combined."
Or so one message boarder commented of this extremely R-rated trailer for the upcoming Punisher: War Zone. Seems to have a deliberate grindhouse scratchiness to it and a lot more of what fans want from the Punisher. Could be fun.
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
Like musicals?
Like Joss Whedon?
Like superheroes and supervillains?
Like Neil Patrick Harris & Nathan Fillion?
If your answer to any of the above is no, don't visit Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. If the answer is yes, you should... parts one and two are up, part three goes up in the next couple days.

April Movie Night - Stallone!

Pretty sure everyone got the evite, but just in case they didn't ('cuz evite is a crappy site with a crappy address book function), here's the invitation to the April movie night.
This time out: Tango & Cash and Demolition Man.
It's the last Sunday of the month (April 27th), at my place (11205 Bending Bough Trail) starting at 8 PM (although Rock Band starts at 5:30 or 6:00 or whenever people show up, and showing up early is welcomed and encouraged.)
Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of the internet?
Listen to old Shadow radio shows for free!
Orsen Welles!
Awesome old-timey commercials!
Somewhat dimwitted plots, but still cool!
