Charleton Heston IS...Indiana Jones

Got here another "pre-make" trailer from the guy behind Ghostbusters (1954).

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1951)

This guy impresses me, and if you missed the Ghostbusters one go watch it!

And to get a sense of the work that went into these, check out the list of movies he used clips or audio from:

The 10 Commandments, Prince Valiant, Naked Jungle, Secret of the Incas, Jungle Queen, Zulu, Look to Lockheed for Leadership, Casablanca, The City of Brass, Mr. Moto takes a Vacation, Star in My Crown, A Pain in the Pullman, On Dangerous Ground, Patton, King Solomons Mines, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Greatest Show on Earth, David and Bathsheba, The Screaming Skull, When You Know, Mysterious Mr. Moto, Lawrence of Arabia, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and Superman at Bay.

Abridged Indy 4 Script

It's only a few pages long, but man does it capture the movie...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Angry Video Game Nerd

Angry Video Game Nerd takes on the earliest Indiana Jones games and it's a thing of beauty:

For the record, I won the original 2600 Indy game several times back in the day. Dunno how we knew what was what, but I think we must've gotten the goods from a video game magazine or something.

Indiana Jones teaser trailer

Not to bump the iPod meme, but...it's Indy!

Teaser Trailer

Truth is, it's not the total ass-kicking trailer I wanted it to be, and just seeing Indy Jr. (or whoever Shia's playing) is grating, but...it's Indy!

"Indiana Jones and the Shitty Sidekick"

That's what one Talkbacker at AICN labeled it, and maybe rightly so with Shia LaDouche co-starring, but Indy looks SO DAMN COOL I still want to believe.

LEGO Indiana Jones

I can't help but feel that by being excited I'm falling into that easily marketed to "sheep" demographic that makes sucky sequels possible, but damnit... this looks cool.

Trailer HERE.

Happy 4th

Mel Gibson's The Patriot is a pretty sucky movie, but that doesn't stop this from being a fine scene of Brits getting absolutely slaughtered. It's also surprisingly hardcore since Mel's kids join in on the slaughter. Reminds me of an old bit from David Letterman talking about why we won the Revolutionary War ("Their diet: tea and crumpets. Ours: squirrel meat and whiskey)...

On a much cooler patriotic level...Indy kicks the shit out of a convoy of Nazis:

And lastly, a video that really gets to the heart of America...racial harmony and all-around positivity through the power of breakdancing:

That's my 6th grade crush, Lucinda Dickey, there - aka 'Special K'. Respect!

Indiana Fucking Jones

I've been skeptical about Indy Jones 4 for years now, but weathered as Ford is in this pic (the first one I've seen relating to the next flick)...man, it still says Indy to me. He still looks like a badass. And I'm ready to invest myself in this movie and start rooting for it, even if it ends up crushing all my hopes and dreams.

Why?

'Cause that's Indiana Jones, damn it.
