Yeah, definitely a proto-Mickey. There's something about 30s-era cartoon design that's a little creepy but also exudes pure kineticism. 30s cartoons were pretty anarchic.
I can see Oswald, the "evil Mickey Mouse," emerging from this game very much a phenomenon. My sense is that the game presents him a redemption arc, but maybe a tragic one, which means he'll be an icon for the Goth/Emo/Nightmare Before Christmas crowd.
