Holy crap- that is freaky and awesome.
It looks bio-orgaic to me, like long bronchial tubes with dozens of lungs attached.
i am kind of bothered that they had to destroy it in order to study it. that is not going to make the ants feel kindly toward humans. i for one welcome our new insect overlords.
