"The kid that went to the dentist, David, is a apparently a finger counter. He’s a fairly young kid and likes to count his fingers in the car during action, which is a big “NO NO” in most cars unless worked out in advance with drivers. But apparently David was a pretty unrepentant finger counter.
The scene in question, was a very emotional and tough scene between Christian Bale and Bryce Howard. A scene that required soul bearing and a deep level of immersive concentration. The sort of scene where everyone in the car knows not to get in anyone’s eye lines, and definitely not to count fingers while DRIVING. You lock that shit down before the car starts.
Bale had indeed warned David on multiple occasions about counting fingers while the wheels were rolling, and Bale was in the midst of a painful scene with Bryce, what was described to me as being the emotional center of his character.
Now, the reason I know all of this is because the person that was there, felt that it should be made perfectly clear that Christian Bale was the utmost gentleman and cool guy. And the kid really was doing something that professional kids with experience just don’t do. Not during a drive home."
That was awesome. I'm sure David's dad enjoys it, and someday David will enjoy it, too.

I believe that was the entire reason Bale went off- so it could be mashed up with that video.
