that's pretty cool. they nailed the 70's - especially like the cut to the old-school Superfriends style toon.
only thing that didn't look quite right was when he blew up the tank. the cgi didn't blend too well with the "old footage filter" they were using. or something.
Yeah, I agree about the CGI. For all the money that they're pouring into this movie, the CGI on Doctor Manhattan has never looked good to me. It's more like the CGI for video game cut scenes from some years ago, sort of stiff with gliding movements. I mean, he's supposed to be a little unnatural, but...

ReplyDeleteYeah, the tank CGI is a little bit... eh. But the rest of the clip is pretty good, and Chris is right, they really nail the '70s newscast feel.
